What our Customers Say About our Culture Embracing Products

Meet the Owner

I am a strong and passionate woman born and raised in Broome WA. I am connected to mob in the East and West Kimberley.
Chaotic Craft, is the culmination of my personal and professional experiences and struggles. Celebrating the good that can arise from the chaos of life. As a qualified teacher and being in Education for 10 years, working to bridge the gap between home and schools for families, I identified the opportunity that schools have for our children to feel welcome and grow up with strong and positive self-identity.

My real job began just over 4 years ago when I became a mother. My perspective changed on everything and I am now preferring to work alongside the system rather than in it. I strive to provoke people to explore and embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture through conversation and knowledge sharing.

FAQs

Does Chaotic Craft use genuine Aboriginal art and designs?

We sure do. Owner of Chaotic Craft, Dale-Maree, is the artist behind the designs featured on our products. She has spent a long time, particularly of her adult life, discovering more about herself and her Connection to her Culture. She found herself creating designs as one of her ways to express the journey she has been through and knows that many people can relate.

Can these items be purchased and used by someone who does not identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?

Of course! All products are ally friendly. This means that they can be worn by all people no matter your descent or Culture. Dale spends a lot of time advocating for knowledge sharing amongst all people and from the very beginning of her designs she knew they were going to be both for mob and allies to wear.
